I need to learn more about clause search.....in the mean time can someone help me know how I would search for every time Jesus is referred to as a shepherd?
Thanks for any help
Hi Mike
I don't think you can do this with a clause search
Try looking up "Jesus" in the Bible Facts tool and scroll down to "shepherd" in the referred to section
Further up you'll also see some entries for "Good shepherd"

and I only found 1 hit using the clause search, so the factbook seems to a better place
If you do a BWS on ποιμήν (shepherd) and look at the Clause Participants section you can see that the word is associated with Jesus in different semantic roles (There, Agent, Goal) which is why the Agent search only finds one hit
If you switch the search to show Grammatical roles then you can easily see the ones associated with Jesus
So this is another way of doing it
