Personal Books get corrupted

I purchased 3 books in Acrobat Reader format. I copied them to Word documents and then brought them into Verbum as personal books. Every time there is a major update from Logos the books are corrupted and say You do not have a license to view this resource. All I have to do is rebuild the books and they are fine but that does not fix note files that I created. The references say Unavailable Resource.

1. I am not sure how to find the version but I think it is version 5.2b

2 & 3. At home Win 8.1 and at work Win 7

4. I guess I cannot say for sure that it is after a major update since I do not look at these books a lot. But I had a 185 MB download yesterday and after it the books were gone and it happened a month or so ago after another large download.

On Mac, you click on the "Logos" program menu button (top left, next to apple icon) and click on "About Logos Bible Software." I <think> on windows, there is an "about" on the far right... But I honestly don't know. It should be the same place that you would find ALL other windows programs version numbers (it is OS specific, not Logos specific).

The current release version is 5.2b SR-2. See the link in my signature line to download the newest version if you don't have it already.

I can't say for sure, but I do have a guess. Are you aware that personal books don't currently sync between computers? Is it possible that you built the personal book on one computer and then tried to open it on the other? The behavior you described is fully consistent with my hypothesis. If you build a book at work and try to open it at home, it will tell you that you don't have permissions to the book.

I think you created another thread for this issue... is that right? Did you mention something about highlights going missing? Additionally, if you build a book and the subsequently make revisions, you may lose your highlights.
