You can export search results directly to Excel.
You can also create a Passage List from search results, but you can't export a Passage List to Excel.
There are other ways of creating a Passage List than from search results, and these other resulting passage lists ought to be able to be exported to Excel. It's tabular data, so there's no reason NOT to be able to export to Excel.
