I don't know of any way to change this either and find it difficult to read. I never made much use of this section, but this makes it less useful for me (YMMV). But the topic section is still a work in progress.
Maybe this should be put in the suggestions forum. I like the idea of setting it as a simple list, without size or orientation differences, perhaps prioritized by relevance, or alphabetically.

Personally, I used the little x to the right of the bar and removed it from my PG.

I like the idea of it for brainstorming whats in a selected text, but some of the words are virtually unreadable, and multi-colours and multi-directions just make it harder to read. I would like to see it. I agree with Richard on the format, prioritised by relevance would be good. Perhaps thats what the different sizes is supposed to do?

I wonder if they licensed the technology from Wordle? You can create your own colorful word clouds using any text input, and the default is a mixture of horizontal and vertical like we see in Logos. Only they've got some more control over it and you can set what style and orientation you want. I know that Bob is a close watcher of new trends in data visualization, so I'm sure he's aware of this. A video he posted on Facebook recently is where I found out about Wordle.
