Daily Reading Plan

Problem: I cannot find a way to copy the Year's Daily
Bible Reading

Schedule so I can eventually copy it into Publisher. There is
a topic in the

Help menu "Copy Bible_List", but it is empty.

Background: I thought since I have v4 that I should start using it on a

regular basis as much as I can so I started with the my Daily Scriptures

Readings. Even though I have the same plan for V4 as V3, V4 has the better

daily distribution of readings (the divisions it makes on daily portions to

read). I also make Yearly sets for the church of various Daily reading

plans, e.g., Psalms each day, OT passage each day, NT passage each day plus

some Proverbs and skip Sundays; I had to manually made proper divisions in

Psalms and Proverbs for smooth daily readings. However, there does not seem

to be a way for copying the Daily List in V4. I went ahead and used V3, but

it does not seem to have as even daily allotment of scriptures (OT & NT)
as
V4 (neither one is very good at all for Psalms and Proverbs). (For those

that might try segmenting the Psalms to get a smooth reading each day, I

find adding Ecclesiastes in the middle of the year (Psalm 1-76;

Ecclesiastes; Psalm 77-150 |), this gives me enough length to this section

to get a better Psalms reading without running out of Psalms before the end

of the year.)

You can use Screen Shot Deluxe 8 to copy it to Word in a series of Images and then print from there as follows:

No need to buy any software for it. You can do a screen capture for free in Windows using Ctrl+PrintScreen. That will copy a shot of your entire screen into the clipboard. Then paste into Publisher or whatever.

Logos has said that better printing support is coming soon, so I'm guessing they will add the ability to print Reading Plans directly from within Logos, which would be nice.

Yes you can, but it is an image not text, which makes it unusable to format in Publisher, Word, etc. You also cannot capture the entire year at one time, only a portion of it. I do have OneNote, which could capture and convert the image into text, but that would take forever, screen by screen. In Logos 3, as with previous versions of Logos/Libronix, you can copy the whole year and paste it into whatever program you wanted as text.

They haven't implemented copy for certain items (Reading Plans are one of them) in Logos 4 yet. In the meantime, you can get the text copied out by clicking (Export to Outlook at the top of the Reading Plan), and then you can do other things with it from there (print directly, export to Excel and format it from there, etc.). Yes, it's a bit clumsy, especially if you already use your Outlook calendar for other things, because the Bible readings will be all intermixed. Oh well, I guess we have to wait for a future release of Logos to really do this right.
