Adding a beneficiary?

I am a soldier getting ready to deploy once again to Iraq. I want to add a beneficiary in case of my passing.
Is there a place where you can note this into my account? Should I contact JAG and create a special will for the account to be transfered to my friend upon my passing? What kind of information would be needed to be included into a will, if this is an easier and more efficient means of transfering the account over to him? I have sent an email with the name of my friend to customer service and also added another concern regarding upgrading by an incrimental capacity. The leap from Platinum to Portfolio is a giant leap in a lump sum cost. I would rather try and get there by a low monthly payment.
Sincerely, Stephen

I can't answer your question, but I just wanted to say thank you for your service and I hope that you stay safe in Iraq and help them rebuild their country. It was good to hear that there were no combat fatalities in Iraq in December. I hope the trend continues.

I have seen the issue about passing Logos on to others discussed, but I can't remember specifics. However, I do know you can upgrade and use your upgrade now while paying in monthly installments... It should come up as an option through the web-site. ($5 monthly service fee, can be paid off at any point)
I'd call CS if you can in order to get details to your other question. If you are unable to do that (Esp. because hold time may be a bit long) let me know and I'd be happy to search the forums for the discussion I found a couple of weeks back that do adress the issue.

Thank you Jeremy for your support and prayers of the troops.
Thank you Jeremiah for your response. Actually, I have in the past made upgrades. Most of them have been minor upgrades, and if I recall correctly one was a fairly big purchase for me at the time that I did make installments. I remember my first tour to Iraq, I contacted customer service when I was mobilizing in Camp Atterbury, Indiana. I did also give as a gift my Catholic edition of the Early Church Fathers to another person because I was upgrading to a scholar's library that had the Protestant Early Church Fathers within it. The only difference as I recall was that the Catholic edition did not have much by way of introductory material that you might read through the CCEL website or within the Protestant version in the Logos library. I am extremely satisfied with Logos and would never be able to see myself switching to another competitor. All my friends and pastors that I know strictly use them or at least have a very high regard for them. I've already gotten a reply back from them in regards to setting up installments, and within that email been reassured that another is coming in regards to the beneficiary. I hope that they also seen my JAG comment here, for I forgot to mention it in my email I sent them. It is free for me to use JAG while on active duty and they can prepare some professional documentation for a will to be set up. I am just not sure what is more convenient or possible. Anyways, I am not worried about it, since I've been told they will address in another email to me some more details and I have always had positive interaction with them.

Glad your getting the answers you needed. Praying the Lord would keep you and your fellow troops safe.
Thank you for your service to our country.

The Troops always need prayer, just not "The War Prayer" from which Mark Twain's short story published post-humanously depicts.
Anyways, I may or may not post their policy to me on the forum on how to go about adding a beneficiary to one's account. It may already be accessible under the terms and conditions from which purchasing and registering products. My laptop is, as Steve Taylor's song depicts, "On The Fritz." I am simply using an MWR computer presently, so it is a little difficult to know precisely the best method or even if a method is available to make such a transfer upon being deceased. Perhaps they are working on updating an option of adding a beneficiary within the account information, but like I said, I am just presently unaware without looking at terms and conditions for such an option. Perhaps a will is more effecient.
