I have just purchased, and loaded Logos 4 for mac. However it doesn't do an exegetical guide. Is this normal or do I need to do something to make it work?
The Exegetical Guide interface has not been built for the Mac yet. However, you can use the information window to get parsing and root information for words by clicking on them. The program is a little slow at pulling up this information though. If you need the exegetical guide feature you have two other options: install the L4 windows version in a virtual machine or a windows PC (your purchase of L4 covers both platforms concurrently--you can use both.) Or you can install the Mac v.1 engine, which is now free. The only problem is that the Mac engine uses the old file format and cannot read the new .logos4 files. You'll need to purchase a "media only" disk from Logos to load all your books into the v.1 engine. Make sure to read the first three posts at the top of the forum for answers to basic questions about the Mac Alpha and the testing process.
Hope this Helps,

It looks like, as many of us, you are new to Logos 4 Mac. The info in the link below will help to get to what you have and what we will have soon enough. Logos 4 Mac is still a great tool for Bible study, sermon prep, etc... but is still not as implemented as the windows version.
