I would like to suggest adding the ability to add columns for multiple custom tags to the Analysis View.
Here are some examples of some tags I might create for a search on πνεῦμα in Luke-Acts:
- Referent of πνεῦμα, i.e. Holy Spirit, human spirit, unclean spirit, etc.
- Articular or Anarthrous - while separate searches might reveal this, it would also be helpful to incorporate this into one view
- Syntactical Usage
- Complete Phrase - πνεύματος ἁγίου, πνεύματι, τὸ πνεῦμά μου, τοῦ πνεύματος τοῦ ἁγίου, etc. - The previous context, next context, previous word, and next word fields are very helpful but sometimes it takes a little human judgement to make all the connections.
- Literary Context - i.e. Birth of John the Baptist, Birth of Jesus, Temptation of Jesus, Teaching of Jesus, Empowering of the Apostles, etc.
- Pneumatological Theme - i.e. Revelation, Empowerment, Witness, Salvation, etc.
I'm sure there are more, and probably many people would think some of these are off base and would prefer their own.
Which is exactly why I am recommending the use of customizable tags.
Why would I like to have all of these tags as columns in the Analysis View?
Because I would like to organize and reorganize my results around this information.
Of course, implementing this idea would also require one other supporting function: the ability to save the view.
It would also be nice if the ability to copy the contents of individual cells were enabled.
That would make the construction of a complete phrase easier to build from the existing context and word fields.
Another nice idea might be the ability to choose which element of the result each tag should be associated with.
I can envision times where it might be better to associate a particular tag with the lemma of the result and other times where it would be better to associate the tag with the reference of the result.
I realize that I can accomplish these things outside of L4 with a spreadsheet.
The process of doing that now is what inspired this idea.
But there would be some distinct advantages of this information being stored in L4 for future searches.
