Collection purge

2 questions. Bear with me.

1. Is there a way to determine what collections are resident by default as apposed to user created?

2. How would one purge all collections to the default (resident by a clean install as if a first time purchaser)?

I have a ridiculous amount of duplication/overlap. I have only a few user created collections that I don't want to part with (but easily replicated if need be).

Is this going to be a manual exercise in frustration? Stick out tongue

I don't believe Logos 5 ships with any pre-defined collections.

and I think you will need to delete the ones you don't need one at a time

I'm not sure if this is true or not but it seemed to me that when I bought a set of books a collection was aromatically created for that set (i think it was A Commentary on the New Testament from the Talmud and Hebraica). I'm trying to remember... I want to say that it also occurred on some sets of resources that came when I upgraded to Platinum.

Some menus (e.g. search) show both series and collections. As Graham said, Logos doesn't automatically create collections, but you will see series listed in a few places. Use the Collections tool to see the collections you have created.

Buying complete base-packages such as some Platinum or Diamond (for example Anglican), plus frequently starting on new series when You purchases individual items (very often happens for example when You "buy" the monthly free or ¢99 books), brings You a lot of series, many which most users will never use. The latter "cheap" items also result in a lot of advertising in Your email inbox through the "Personalized Offers" to complete sets.

Third distinction is "Tags and Ratings", which also appears in some menus: e.g. search.
