Without going incredibly off topic like the last thread did.... whatever it takes to get a C.S. Lewis collection would be amazing!

The entire works of CS Lewis have long been something Logos has been wanting to put in their format, but whoever owns the copyright (the estate of CS Lewis and/or Harper-Collins?) has not been releasing permission yet. Maybe once they see how much the Logos book format has taken over the world of Christian book publishing they will come on their knees and beg Logos to take it![;)]

Not necessarily. Lewis was prolific, but he didn't write as many books as GK Chesterton did, and Chesterton's complete works are currenly available in pre-pub for $99.95. I've ordered that, and I'd be willing to pay up to three times that for Lewis's complete oeuvre. His classics are of course a must, but there there are many gems among his lesser known works: Letters to Children, Letters to an American Lady, An Experiment in Criticism, his essays, etc.

Thanks Rosie, I didn't know that. I just did a post on that one too, so it should be on the front page for a little while! I am very impressed by the thinking of both Lewis and Bonhoeffer.

Lewis' son is one of those who has a lot of "say" in the running of the estate. Unless he is convinced (to change his mind) these works will be under copyright and unavailable for quite sometime. The impression has been given that he wants "nothing" to do with "digitizing" these books.
I too would really appreciate these in Logos. Zondervan changed their minds. Eerdmans also did re the NICNT and the NICOT. There is "hope."

Many of Lewis's works are available in the Kindle format, so it must be somewhat more complicated than that. I suppose it's harder to create illegal copies from Kindle format books, since you can exactly select and copy the text.
