Resizing Windows?

I am trying to setup a custom layout for my studies and sermon prep. However, I can't seem to be able to resize some of the windows that I have placed my Bibles and Commentaries in for instance. Can this be done? Am I over looking something. Acts the same on both my desktop and notebook.

You should definitely be able to do this. Without more information, it will be difficult to help you. Can you post a screen shot of what you have and explain what you want to do?

Not sure if I can explain it clearly enough but I'll try to give an example.

From the main screen of Logos 4, I type, in Romans 1:1-7 in the Go Box and hit return. This brings up a screen with the Passage Guide/Exegeitcal Window on the left, two stacked windows in the middle with Bibles in one and Commentaries in the other. On the right there are two stacked windows, one is the information window and the other is the biblw comparison window. I guess you could say that everything is arranged in 3 columns, with the left most column being the widest, the center one being a little narrower and the right one being narrower.

I can change the width of the right column to my liking (narrower, for instance) but that makes the center column wider and I cannot change its width of it except by resizing the left most column.

What I want to do is size the leftmost column to my liking and then make the remaining 2 columns take up the rest of the screen real estate, being of equal width. However, I cannot resize these columns, other than the right and center ones which affect each other. In fact, I cannot resize the rightmost column at all.

Also, is there a way to add, say, a fouther column? On my large screen desktop monitor there are times that I'd like to do this.

I've probrabnly made this as clear as mud by now but I hope you can see what I'm trying to do.

That's a great video, but it leaves out a common question people have. How can you resize the sidebar (that narrow tile on the right side that takes up about 1/5 of your Logos window)? If you try to drag the width of that from where it's docked, you can't.

But...you can drag any of those tools (Help, Information, Text Comparison, etc.) from their tab like you can with all the other tiles, and move it onto some other portion of the Logos window besides that sidebar area. Then it becomes sizeable just like any other tile. If you drag ALL the tools away from the sidebar area, then the middle-most tile grows to fill up that available space, so you end up with a layout with two tiles of equal width completely filling the Logos window. This is a nice layout for maximizing use of screen real estate, and being able to really read everything,I find. The text comparison tool in the sidebar area is pretty useless if you're looking at more than one verse (say a paragraphy) in more than 3 Bibles. I like seeing the comparisons side-by-side in columns, which only happens when you move the Text Comparison to a wider tile.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time you have come to my rescue Rosie as I came to the forum with the same questions RevM. (abbreviated) came with. I have seen the referenced video more than once but it didn't address changing the size of the sidebar (which is what I was wanting to do). I should have been able to think beyond the video and come to your conclusion but didn't. Thanks for pointing out that method.
