I can't see the words in the timelines in Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary in Logos 4 but I have no problem in L3.
Even after exporting to Powerpoint and enlarging I can't see the words. But they are perfectly clear in L3.

Use your mouse center wheel to zoom the text. Hold down left button and move mouse to drag the text. Works just like Google maps.

"Use your mouse center wheel to zoom the text."
How do you do this with a laptop without a mouse?
They are pretty much useless. However the timelines were done, the text is so small it is unreadable, and the text is not scalable so it just gets larger not more readable. Unless Logos finds another way to reproduce that timeline you'll need the hard copy book to access them.
I did do a right click to copy and pasted into a Word document. I was able to resize it in Word, but it is too blurry and useless....not good at all...
I notice in the Logos screen the next picture is large..these charts need to be as large as the next picture is.
There is an older post on this exact subject.
You might want to find Todd Phillips entry in the thread below for viewing in another Holman resource.

EDIT: you will need to go down about 2/3 of the way down the post, the post will have several images in it.

Every laptop I've seen lately has "scroll bars" on the mouse pad. They serve the same function as I recall. I gave my laptop to a deserving kid for Christmas, so I can't check this.
I don't understand what problems you folks are having with timelines. I brought up a timeline. I floated the panel. I blew it up to full screen. As I rotate my center mouse wheel, the text becomes larger and more readable. I have no problem whatsoever with this feature!

The problem is when I rotate my mouse wheel it scrolls the page up and down. It does not zoom the timeline in and out.

Gerry,
How exactly are you able to zoom in on a timeline within the Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary?
Aha! So that's what you're talking about! Those seem to be embedded graphics and I don't have an answer for that. I was looking at resources that were 'timeline' types.
Oh well, I tried to help.....
