Many of the Help Tips are redundant, copies of the setting name. They don't add any useful information. Esp the "Show ...." settings.
What is the wording of those? (I'm not near my computer with L5 at the moment.)
There are a few that are not clarified enough for a new user, IMO. If you could click the hint marker and get the topic in the help file then the short descriptions would probably do. Some examples (scraped from the executable) along with the questions a new user might ask and suggested supplemental info:
Justify Resource Text: *Yes:* Resource text will be justified. *No:* Resource text will not be justified. Most probably know this one anyway but there is plenty of space for clarity: "text is aligned along the left margin, and letter- and word-spacing is adjusted so that the text falls flush with both margins" -Wikipedia
Show Alerts: *Yes:* New alerts will be shown when the application starts. *No:* Alerts will never be shown. What kind of alerts?
Show the notification bar: *Yes:* Notifications are shown in the bar. *No:* Notifications are not shown in the notification bar. What notifications? Notifications for pending app or resource updates, indexing.
Show Search Bookmarks: *Yes:* Search bookmarks will be shown. *No:* Search bookmarks will not be shown. What are search bookmarks? Shown where? "...lines that appear on a resource scroll bar These display search result locations from current search." - Logos help
Show Auto and Favorite Bookmarks: *Yes:* Auto and favorite bookmarks will be shown. *No:* Auto and favorite bookmarks will not be shown. What are they? Shown where? "...lines that appear on a resource scrollbar. These display places recently visited and location of Favorites." -Logos help

I don't know, those all seem pretty self-explanatory to me.... New users (in theory) would also go through the quick start videos that explain several of those features.
