best installation option?

If I have L3 Gold on my computer and have upgraded to L4 Platinum but haven't yet installed Platinum what is the best way to do this? Would it be better/faster to use the L4 Platinum disc and then update or just download L4 from the site? Thanks for your time.

Use the DVD first as the subsequent download to update resources will be smaller than downloading everything from the site (and the overall process will be faster).

I did the same upgrade you are about to do, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do now, but there was about a month that I hated the new program but loved the new resources, I was about to give up and go back to L3, wait a while and then try again, boy am I glad I didn't!

I have installed the new software both ways and for me the disc was hands down better, but I got the disc at my home a few days after Logos 4 first hit the market, so I do not know if all the updates to 4 are on the disc now, or if it is now better to install it directly, I installed from the internet the first day Logos 4 hit the market and I have a fast download speed but it took 23 hours, something was messed up on their end, I downloaded it another time over the internet and it was much faster but not as fast as the disc.

I hope you enjoy it alot, but just a warning if you were really good at using L3, you are going to have to learn new ways of doing things, this new system is much quicker to learn, but you have to know up front that you are going to have to change the way you think.

At first you will think Logos 4 is missing more features than it actually is, because they are not in the same place they were in Logos 3 give yourself some time to find them. Watch the videos, read the forums and if you want to speed things up buy the manuals from Morris, and the video from John. They are very helpful and the manuals have an index which saves a ton of time searching through these posts.

Thanks guys for the help! I will use the disc first as suggested. I'm expecting L4 to be akward at first but since I've been warned by the many threads about this I'm also expecting to have fun exploring. Thanks again.
