Searching Almost Non Functional in 5.3 Beta 4 on OS X Yosemite

On both of my Macs running OS X Yosemite (10.10) with Logos 5 Mac 5.3 Beta 4 5.3.0.1162, searching is almost non-functional. largetext: word and <bible = Passage> NEAR word when searching any of my collections is turning up zero results when they were turning up tons of results earlier.

Searching for just a word in my entire library (like atonement) is only generating a few results.

I'm doing a Rebuild index on one of my Macs, and I may do it to the other Mac, but I wanted to report this as well in the meantime.

Thanks!

Rebuilding the index resolved that issue, but then I was experiencing other issues. On this Mac (since it's my school machine), I've gone ahead and trashed the beta and re-installed the stable build.

Now if only I could get my 14+GB of books back. :-)

I am having the same search issues.

Now we are being told that there are no more updates to 5.3. I either have to do a re-install/download/index from scratch or pay to upgrade to 6.0.

I beta-test to check out new features, but also to help Logos. I am not happy with this.

Can you post your log files?

Are you able to run "rebuild index" on this machine? Or, if you download the resource update that was posted last night, your machine should reindex the updated resources automatically.

On my machine, Rebuild Index did solve the issue. There were some other lagging issues I was having (probably due to Logos prepping for L6) that over the weekend, I ditched the beta on this machine and re-installed the L5 stable build. Glad I did it before L6 shipped so I can use what I have for school while I'm waiting to get with my sales rep and upgrade. :-)

I have not done the big download on the Mac. I will do that now and let you know how it goes.

    Thanks for the advice, Bradley.

Because of the issues with the Logos servers, the resources are not downloading at the moment. I will leave it on overnight and hopefully it will be done by morning.

I am sorry it took so long to get back to you Bradley, but the server issues made my downloads slow.

All resources are updated and I did a rebuild of the index.

Everything seems to be working now. I appreciate the help!
