I really appreciate being able to access much of my library on my phone.

However, I am having trouble on my Palm Pre with Greek and Hebrew text.  Hebrew does not show up at all, and Greek texts with breathing marks do not display properly.

Does anyone know of a fix?

Thanks.

    John,

I can't speak regarding WebOS, but I asked a similar question re: blackberry displaying Hebrew.

Bryan Smith responded to my post:

Unfortunately there's not much we can do about this. All we can do is set a font in the CSS, which is really just a suggestion-- the browser does not have to respect it. It is up to the browser to select a font based on the suggestion & render the characters. If the device either chooses to ignore the suggestion, or just doesn't have the font or glyphs, you get the box instead. We have no way to handle this case, or even detect it.        I'm afraid this will be a fairly common problem, since a lot of mobile devices ship with pretty minimal fonts. So far the iPhone is the only device I've seen with really good Hebrew support.

Hmm Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

Try precentral.net and see if anybody knows how to install fonts.

"Bible Reader" for Palm webOS supports Hebrew. I know that isn't the same as having full Hebrew support throughout the phone, but if you just need a way to read the Old Testament, it works great and its free
