SLJ became a strong proponent of the Doctrines of Grace in the mid to late 70's whereupon he left his position at Dallas Seminary and began teaching at TEDS. I have always enjoyed and deeply appreciated his preaching/teaching from the later years (and still do!). He had a profound impact on many young seminarians who were struggling with those same doctrines. Personally, I am very thankful that foresighted people at Believers Chapel in Dallas thought to record the man and have now made it all available in mp3 format for free. His series on the Gospel of John is outstanding.
