How to exit the Exegetical Guide?

Hello,

I use the iPad Logos app and I normally view resources in two panes, left and right.

This last week I was using the Exegetical Guide and it's open in the right pane. I can't leave that guide. I can only load different books in the left pane while the guide is static in the right.

Would someone give me pointer on how to close that guide and resume normal operation? I am missing something.

THANK YOU!

Simply use the slider button between the panels to slide that panel away!

If you want to place a second book in that panel, touch it to make it active, then open a new resource. It will open in that pane.

    Bama,

I'm missing something fundamental here. I slide the right pane away but when I return to it the guide is still running in it.

I try try to open other resources in that pane but can't.

It doesn't matter what I open in the left pane the right pane remains static. :(

Whatever is in the pane will remain there until you put something else in it.

In reading view, gently tap or swipe down to bring up navigation menu. Then press the pane you want to change. Go to library, and open book. It will open in the panel you last selected.

    Bama,

No, not working. The only pane I can use is the left pane. I can't change anything in the right pane. I can swipe it away and have a full screen to study from, but when I bring the right pane back, the exegetical guide remains. I can't seem to find a way to execute "Open this book in the right pane."

Do you know if there is any way I can just "reset" this app? Send it back to default or something?

To "reset" the app, you must delete it... But I suspect this isn't needed. I will make two posts here... Let me start with this one. Notice the two screen shots. In this view, I can tap on the top then the bottom. The selected pane is brighter and will be the one to change when I open a new resource. I tried this in landscape (as you have it) and had some difficulty, but was ultimately successful. Try it in portrait if you are having troubles. I'll post again in a minute .

If you still can't get it to work, try these:

    1. Slide the slider so that you can ONLY see the guide you want to get rid of. Go to library and open a new resource.
    2. Do a full shutdown of the app (via multitask bar) and/or device (press and hold power button and slide to shut down).

If those don't work, I guess reinstall. For clarification: you don't ever "exit" a resource / guide. You simply open a new one. If you only want to see one resource or guide, you use the slider to show only one (FWIW - I always use portrait and rarely use two resources at a time).

What happens if you tap the right pane (where the exegetical guide is), then tap on the three-horizontal-line icon (at the top left of the display), tap on the Library icon, and then tap on a book?
