2.5 hours to index. The first 10% and the last 10% took the longest. I normally can index in approximately 20 minutes.

Yes, it does seem that an album compared to this update would be approximately a 40:1 ratio, so that would indicate this update would take three to four hours. As suggested, there could also be other buffering issues...anyhow, I'm looking forward to the new features!

I guess the logos.com servers are being slammed. I am unable to get the resource update started.
I get this error in the logs when I do an "update now":
2014-10-27 08:49:54.7992 37 Error WebServiceClient WebServiceException in GetResourceFileInfoWork: Libronix.Utility.Net.WebServiceException: Status code not handled. Request: POST https://services.logos.com/resource/v3/FileService.svc (status ServiceUnavailable, content type 'text/html')
Maybe I'll forgo trying for a few days.

Started Logos this morning and it did not update. I tried "update now" and received the message that there was no update available! [:'(]

I updated successfully on Logos 5 for Mac, 2.78GB Download, about 3 hours, indexing about 3 hours. Now trying to Update Logos 5 for Windows ... No Updates Available.

There appears to be an issue in downloading new and updated resources which Logos is aware of and is currently addressing. See the discussion here,

The speed of your indexing will be determined by a number of factors:
- The size of the download
- The content of the download (some resources have more to index)
- The specs of your computer (OS, HDD/SSD type and capacity, Processor, Ram)
- The version of Logos you are using.

The download was 1.25 gb and I started it at 2am and when I checked at 9:30am it was at 43%. I canceled it and I guess for now I will not be updating or using Logos for a while. Have to use a competitors software to do Bible Study. The site is overtaxed.

I have been having issues with downloads for a while, but they don't appear to be "overtaxed server" issues. Did you at least restart your computer and allow it to index what it had downloaded? Did you change automatic downloads to "no" to allow you to use your system? Was your computer just slow and still downloading, or just "stuck" at 43%?

Yes, I was able to open Logos on my iMac and turn off automatic updates before it got that far. I will restart my MBP so I can see what it download at least and let it index.

Extremely slow downloading. Couldn't even get it started the first day. Now 14 hours and only 72%. Last 6 hours just 6%. 3.97GB total to be downloaded. This is on the Logos 5 Update. I wanted to get this done before looking at Logos 6. Why did they do both at the same time? What a way to test their servers! I guess they know now, they need something faster.

The slowness of your download is not within Logos control - one the licenses where identified the download comes from Amazon. At that point slowness is either because of your carrier or your equipment ... in my case my carrier.

Yesterdays download of 2.06gb took me 16 hours.
On my win 10 virtual machine its going a good bit faster today, but still, only 400mb in an hour is a bit off for my 25mb internet connection.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

This is to update my comments on the slow download. After I reported progress, I decided to reboot my computer just to break the connection. Note that I had been download other things from other sites and they were fast - it was just the Logos download that was slow.
Anyway, booting back up, the Logos download restarted by itself and it was much faster. I had 1.08GB left of the download and at this moment it is already 62% complete. And indexing seems to be proceeding on the other part at the same time.
So a good technique is to start over the download. Perhaps they limited it in the crunch and never let it free again???? Anyway things are now getting done.

Here is my experience for what it is worth.
I have a MacBook, about a year old, i7 with 8gb of memory and the SSD running Yosemite.
My download in Logos 5 was 2.2GB. It got to 44% and stopped. After a coupe of hours with no further progress I stopped Logos and then restarted it. Logos began to index the updated resources it had downloaded so far. After about 30 seconds it began to download 1.56 GB of resources. This time it stopped at 24%. I waited a couple of hours and took same steps. I ended Logos and restarted it. This third attempt got thongs going. The 1.4GB left to download did not stop this time and it finished downloading in less than 30 minutes.
Logos 5 operated fine after the resource upgrade. I went ahead and purchased the extended Cross Upgrade and installed it. That has to download another 80 resources. That process was completed in less than 15 minutes and Logos was installed. Everything looks good on Logos 6 so far.
