CP's jumping straight to production

I am very exited that most of the resources that I really wished for but are languishing in CP seem to have jumped into the production line to go in the new base packages, namely:
- John Gill - How good is this?
- Hastings 5 volume dictionary of the Bible - I had given up hope
- Hastings multi volume Encyclopaedia on Religion on Ethics- This was never going to exit CP on its own
- The Geneva Bible - Well if it was good enough for Paul, it is good enough for me
- Wycliffe & Tyndale translations - For when I have enough of the Geneva Bible
- Princetown Review - I had hope with the new Journal Library, but this means it is going to happen.
The question is whether they will close the CP at the current bid price or just cancel the CP and move straight to prepub at a higher price.

That would be a good push for someone looking at Logos 6. And give more reason to move to Logos 6. Wonder how fast they will be done.

I believe at best they will do the latter since there is no way for them to establish a fair price for those who were CP bidders. At worst they will not even bother with pre-pub. Since we can't access the Logos web site very easily today, we'll have to wait on a word from Logos about this. I was in on at least one of these in CP for some time.

On a related issue, will we have to manual look up and delete these pre-pubs and CP items to avoid being double charged?

In the past they have been automatically deleted, it just takes time. I had loads when I got the Lutheran package and cancelled most manually, but those I missed were done automatically.

This was raised at the time of the release of the denominational base packages. At that time we were assured that we would not be double-charged (that the system knew that we owned the license) and, as such, there was no need to manually delete from our orders.
I ordered a couple of said packages, made no effort to cancel my preorders and was not double charged. I expect the same will apply here.

Most of the content in Logos 6 base packages that's also on Pre-Pub or Community Pricing will be available by the end of January. There may be a few that will ship in February or March.
If you have a pre-order for a resource also in a base package, we will cancel the pre-order for you before it ships. We'll notify you when we do this. You will not be billed twice.

Thanks for the clarification.

I never worried about that but it is good to know what your plan is.

Kent, what about Hastings 5 volume dictionary? This had closed in CP and was later placed back on CP. I was notified that when it closed I would still get it at the original CP closing price ($15). Is this still the case?

I guess I am missing a lot. The website is not working very well for me. What packages are these in?

So how does the pricing work??
If a resource is on CP, but will go into production Jan -- what price will be charged?
I know some of these are in newer base packages, but if I dont get that package and still want the item on CP, how does that work?

Gill is a real gem, but you have to be very well-heeled to get it in a base package now.

If you have a bid in for The Works of John Gill and you do not get it as part of a Logos 6 base package, you will be charged $40 (or less, if the price drops on Community Pricing), assuming you get your bid in before it goes to Pre-Pub and don't cancel. It will operate as a normal Community Pricing product.

Is this true for other CPs? Like Hastings 5 vol dictionary, and some of other dictionary's that are on CP?

Which base packages are the CPs listed in the OP a part of?

In the Reformed Base Packages we have The Hastings Dictionary, the Geneva, Wycliffe and Tyndale Bibles and the Reformed and Presbyterian Review (part of the Princeton Theological Review Bundle) all in Reformed Portfolio.
