I'd like to install on a MacBook Air but with only 128gb hard drive I've been hesitant to install Logos 5. Does Logos 6 offer any options like the ability to limit the amount of resources or install to an external SDHC card?

You can install Logos, and move your resources wherever you like. This is found in "/Users/username/Library/ApplicationSupport/Logos4/Data/random/ResourceManager/Resources"

Move that to desired place, and use cmd "scan <path to resource folder on external storage>" in Logos to scan the new path for resources. It will take time to update.

The system requirements - https://www.logos.com/system-requirements - call for an internal drive. Mac users would need to comment on experiences of using an external card but I would expect there would be some significant performance issues.

Some users running Logos on Windows Tablets do so from an SD card. Here is a link to a thread discussing this https://community.logos.com/forums/t/73755.aspx . I do not know If it would be different for a Mac. You can search the forums and find a number of threads discussing this.

I would think as long as you buy the fastest speed SDHC card that you can, it would probably be passable. Cameras dump a lot of data to sd cards, and if they can handle raw photos (32mb) being snapped multiple times per second, then they can likely handle the performance needs of Logos.

Again just pay attention to the "class" of the SDHC card (should be printed on the packaging) and get the highest "class" you can.

Nick, I have a 128GB SSD in my Microsoft Surface. I found that if I install Logos to the Internal SSD and move other data files to the SD card I get extra space and premium performance.
