Please can I request a "send to passage list" for both the pallete, and specific notation colour so we can find which verses are using that colour/markup, this for those of using a custom color markup system will prove immensely useful, I have been asking since v4 days.. anyhow, new version same request - please consider it - thx

Are you aware of what is available in 6.0? e.g. Label entry for a highlighting style and the ability to search for either the {style} or the specific {label} WITHIN a {Range}.

thanks Dave, hopefully that will suffice - sounds promising, if its speed has improved.. because searching for a highlight in v5 was painful

my main 6 install , its in middle of downloading indexing so didn't want to do much playing until finished will post back if I need more, but is extra process step - will play when indexing is complete

OK Dave.. help.. I have done my search but it returns 0 records after 5+ minutes of searching, likely correct as highlights have no content, how would you search for all highlights of a particular colour?

I have also tried using <Bible Gen 1.1- Rev 22.21> and lesser chunks without success

Have looked in my notes.db file and as a former DBA am horrified by the table design.. and am concerned that the length of search is just down to poor DB design.. If markup style was also in attachments table this could be producing results almost instantly..

Sorry, I gave you a taste of the syntax. Use {Highlight stylename} in a Bible Search e.g.

{Highlight Red Underline}       ---> make sure the stylename is unique amongst your palettes.

If you want to restrict the range you can do that in the usual way, but you can also do it in a Basic Search e.g.

{Highlight Red Underline} WITHIN {Milestone <Bible Eph>}                  --> restricts results to the book of Ephesians.

If you want to restrict it to the words of Christ (where he is the speaker):

    {Highlight Red Underline} WITHIN {Speaker <Person Jesus>}

Note: the syntax is being revised, and I think a future release will allow palette to be included.

This feature hasn't been officially released (it just wasn't removed from the final betas before RC), so Dave shouldn't be announcing it here [:)]. You should anticipate that it could be changed if/when it ships, or be removed without warning.

Well at least it may[or not] be on the horizon, however distant :D

    Thank you both

It's just so NEEDED and useful. Ok, it's got a few quirks under hard testing, but it is NEEDED. Please...

Bradley, given that most of my workflow is done using highlighting on android tablet like below whilst I am out on road, then I have loads of "Research this" tags that I have "misplaced" for a future study.. (like this mockup).. this is where the passage list export would be a blessing

I guess everyone uses markup in their own way - I use it on my tablet to indicate keypoints and subpoints.
An example of the start of my work flow on my tablet, with key markup is:

So yes for me this would be releasing, as well as improving my workflow.. as I say I have been desiring it a long time..
