After upgrading to Logos 6, where pronunciation icons used to play a translation, now the icon is dead and no pronunciation.
Any ideas
I'm assuming you mean, as in a Bible word study?
If I click that speaker, I can hear it.
Or are you talking about somewhere else?
yes
Has your system finished indexing? If so, can you provide some more details: what platform? What language? (depending on your resources, it might be English, Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic)
A screen shot of what doesn't work would be especially helpful.
Further debugging: if you type "Show Pronunciation" in the command bar, you should see a panel on the right with a drop-down. Does the drop-down contain Greek choices?
If you open the About Logos Bible Software link (top right corner, letter "i" in a circle), do you see the Greek datasets?
The icon being missing on Mac is a known issue; it will be fixed in a future release.
Thankyou for the response - The icon is NOT missing - It does not work if that distinction is important
I am running OS X 10.10 Yosemite
It worked fine before the upgrade to Logos 6
Can you address the other questions from https://community.logos.com/forums/p/93100/646158.aspx#646158?
Can you please enable logging and post your logs after clicking on the speaker icon to play the pronunciation?
Thank you,
Martin
I determined what the problem was in my particular case.
For some reason the sound settings in Yosemite were routing the sound out to a non-exsistant driver.
I reset my settings at the OS X level and the problem has been corrected.
After upgrading to Logos 6, I no longer even see the icon. Further, I tried typing "show pronunciation" in the command window, but I don't get the options shown below. : (
Bradley,
Thank you for this message. I am a Mac user. Before upgrading to Logos 6, the pronunciation icon would appear next to the Greek words in the exegetical guide as well as in the "Information" panel. Now the icon is no longer there in either location. Glad to hear that it is being resolved!
