Sean,
I've seen this a few times today - can you please enable Logging (http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging ), replicate the problem, but do not restart Logos until you've moved or uploaded your logs. (Logos rewrites logs when it starts).
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

This looks like what is happening to one of our MVP's as well.
I'll notify the programmer to look at this thread.

A current indexer log is not available, so you need to enable logging, etc. so we can see what is happening with the download. Do you have Automatically Download Updates (in Program Settings) set to NO?

Automatic updates are on. I'm not sure when the problem occurs as it usually manages about 1% or so and then doesn't go any further. I will leave the logging for about an hour and then post here. Thanks

Sean - I am having troubles too. I guess it isn't good that we are in the same club. [:s]
Dave was suggesting that you turn auto updates to OFF. I recommend his suggestion, if for no other reason to allow you to actually get some work done.
My current routine:
- downloading until it gets "stuck"
- shutting down the computer, letting cool, and restarting the Mac
- allowing Logos to index (if it has anything to index, it should do this automatically upon restart on Mac)
- allowing the indexing to FINISH BEFORE restarting Logos.
