Since I can't tell how long my main desktop machine will be updating, it could be a week at this rate, I was thinking of taking one or both laptops to the library to see if I can get them loaded or at least well along the way. Has anyone done that?
Its common for "free" or public wifi spots to limit you on time or data volume so it might not work!
Leaving aside if its fair to use their traffic, if your download is going to be large hundreds of MB or into the GB ranges ...
(I try and let my large downloads run while I sleep, and mostly when I wake its all finished. Sometimes of course there is some kind of prompt or question a little after it starts and its been doing nothing the whole time [:(]
