What happened to 'Adjust plan from today' on the reading list?

That option is gone. All I see now is 'skip all readings up to today' and 'delete'.

I never skip readings, but I do get behind and adjust. How do I do that now?

Click on the title of the reading plan to open up the reading plan document. From there you will be able to right click on a reading and use the "Adjust plan from here" option.

Click on the title of the reading plan to open up the reading plan document. From there you will be able to right click on a reading and use the "Adjust plan from here" option.

    That's helpful.

Is there some reason that choice isn't one of the three right there, along with the catch-up-to-today option?

We removed it from the home page on purpose. The reasons were that our telemetry showed that very few people used that command at all, and that around 80% of users that we asked about it couldn't figure out what the command was supposed to do, or what it actually had done once they tried it. So it made sense to us to not have it front and center on the home page, while keeping it in the document itself for people who do know what it does and still want to use it. Hope that helps, and thanks for the question!

It is less intuitive; for those who might see this thread, I'll add this-

Left-click the TITLE of the reading plan-

In the reading plan calendar that pops up, you need to right-click on AN ACTIVE READING DATE (not the reading itself, but somewhere inside the date box) to get the plan adjusted properly.  You can only click on today's date if you have a reading today. If you don't, you'll have to click on the next reading date in the future. (Example: Today is Oct. 31, but I can't click the 31st...I have to click the next day with a reading, which is Nov. 4.)-

Right-click in the read box area...not on the reading itself  ("pp 20-25" in this example). In the pop-up, select "Adjust plan from here" and you should see your oldest reading jump to this reading day (in this example, "pp 5-12", from Oct. 28th, jumps to Nov. 4th).

Thanks for the help, Andrew and Eli!!

Gee Logos could we not hide this feature a little better. I've been looking for at least two weeks now to find out how to do this. The option to adjust or catch up is also gone from the iPad and android app as well. (at least I cannot find it) It used to be so simple. I have not upgraded to Logos 6 yet and am hesitant to do so as I am not looking forward to learning this software again.

I think the issue may be that the phrasing/description isn't really clear.  I use this feature regularly, but I know my wife was often confused about what "adjust from here" meant.  She would often hit "catch-up" thinking that it would accomplish what "adjust from here" does...she would then get frustrated that it had skipped her forward in her reading plan.

I'm not sure what a better label would be, but maybe something about adjusting the date or similar?

This might be my lack of understanding but I've followed the instructions in the helpful post by DOC but my 'adjust plan from here' is grayed out in Logos 6. I also had problems with this same plan in Logos 5 the past few months too (just upgraded) and I had to create a new plan to get around the problem. Does this function work?

Here's my plan that I can't adjust because it's greyed out. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Cheers.

The option is greyed out because modifying reading schedules for shared reading plans is not currently supported.

Ahhh! Thanks for the explanation Andrew. I appreciate it.....Hopefully that can get on the list of supported changes in the future. :)

Most definitely, it is not clear.

I'd prefer something like, "Delete missed readings up to here" and, "Move next unread section to here".

Others can probably top these suggestions. But "catch up" and "adjust" are not discriminatory enough for the purpose.

Is this feature still working, I cannot get it to work with the plan still remaining behind when I ask it to "Adjust Plan from Here"?
