Default Bible not being defaulted to - Navigation in Bible Study still a challenge

Hello

Imagine my surprise and angst when my new Galaxy S 8.4 Tablet Android version of Logos would not default to NKJV (like my settings show should happen) during my Bible study last Tuesday night and kept insisting upon FORCING me to use Lexham instead.  Whats up with that Logos?!!

Worse there is still no fast way to get to a Book, Chapter and Verse quickly when my turn comes up in the Study.  Why isnt there an easier interface to open to a default Bible and get to a particular chapter and verse like YouVersion does with its app (though admittedly not very well).

To me it seems that Logos developers are just oblivious to how people use the product during Church services and Bible studies.

On a lighter note I was able to use the warning "navigation failed" I kept getting during the Study about people NOT walking with God.

Sigh.

What do you mean by this? What did you do, what did you expect to happen and what actually happened?

Are you aware that from the HomePage you can type in a verse or select a verse from the verse picker?

What specifically are you looking for here?

Tying in a verse is a nuisance and does not work well at all.

I want to use a single finger to click on book chapter and verse similar to YOUversion android app of the Bible.

Its preposterous to me that there are not a number of more user friendly point and click (or touch friendly) ways to get to an actual Bible verse.

Everyone at Logos always points to typing it out...thats just silly.

Please create an interface for those who just want to tap.

    thanks.

    I'm not familiar with YouVersion.

In what way doesn't the existing verse picker give you what you need?

Please see our support videos: https://www.logos.com/training/android

"Basic Navigation" shows book/chapter/verse selection around 0:42. "Preferred Bible" shows selecting a preferred Bible.

If your preferred Bible is set to NKJV and navigating by verse still opens LEB instead of NKJV, that's a bug. Sorry about that. Please send your logs to support with a short description of the problem using the "Send Support Info" option on the Help screen.

The screen showed on this video does not correspond with my screen. It looks the same both in stead of showing bible books it says: "no data". Now I can only acces a verse by typing like 'jes 1:1". What is going wrong? A few months ago I could select a book, chapter, verse like shown in the video both right know I can't anymore :-(

    Hi Tinko,

Welcome to the forums.  What version of Android are you running?

Hi Kevin, I run 2.3.6. A few months ago I could select a book, chapter, verse like shown in the video on this version so I don't understand what happened..

If you are running Android 2.3.6 you are also running an old unsupported version of the app. Our current apps require Android versions 4.1 or above.

That said, if the Bible you are experiencing this with is downloaded locally you might try removing it and downloading it again.
