I really love the books.logos.com idea. I really hope that you can add to it, possibly by allowing us to suggest archive.org PDFs to the service.
But there are a few problems that need to be sorted out.
- Images are requested via http before being redirected to https. That's a wasted call.
- Images that have already been downloaded are requested again. There are two requests:
- One to Amazon S3 which gives the error "The requested range is not satisfiable"
- One to mediaapi.logos.com
There doesn't seem to be any way of selecting the text in the image. I know there'll be lots of OCR errors, but it would still be useful.
Hyperlinks to bible references have been added, which is great. But it would be nice if:
- The reference showed on hover, and not just on click.
- The references subtly highlighted in some way (as in normal resources).
As someone else has mentioned, a fit width option would be useful.
There's a bug which causes images to switch between colour/mono has you go through them.
