Did typing in Notes become very slow?
I have not noticed that. What are you experiencing?
Lag! I'm not fast, but the words are not even close to keeping up with me. Restarted Logos. Rebooted computer. Same result. No other programs running on my 2013 MBA.
I would add this to your title:
Is Logos 6 a complete waste of money and time and not geared for normal users?

NIce hijack. No. That is not what I am saying. That is what you are saying.
Can you post some logs? https://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
Also what are your specs? Does this occur with every note?
EDIT: During the beta there were some issues with cursor behavior while typing in a note. That was fixed. I have not seen a lag issue in notes since L4
Does this occur with every note?
Weird. It only seems to occur in my current note. I tried a new test note and no lag. I closed and reopened the difficult note with the same result.
Lag!
Is indexing still running? Might there be any other background tasks running (anti-virus updates, etc.)?

No indexing. Nothing else running. Everything else is snappy. Except this particular note. It is a small note. I copied and pasted the text into a new note with the same result.

Well, that rules out an easy fix. [sigh]
I assume from the above that you're using a Mac Book Air, I'm not aware of this happening on other Mac's.
However, go to Settings and set "Check Spelling While Typing" to "No." Does that help? If so, there's an issue with that module. If not, we can rule it out.
Also, please follow the advice about putting up some logs. That may show something else.
Is there something unique about the contents of that note?
What is a normal user? From most of the users in the Forums it has been positive. If you are the one outside the majority, normal may not apply to you.
Nope. Same Bible Study notes and format I do for weekly sermon prep.
I've never had this problem until this morning.
Good idea. No success. I don't have much time for troubleshooting today as I am preparing sermon for tomorrow. Sigh...

There is nothing wrong with your response here, however in the interest of helping the OP with his problem it would probably be better not to have the debate JoshlnRl is trying to engage someone in on this thread. He is working existing threads in the forums for that purpose rather than starting his thread.
Thanks Fredc and Rich for the help and suggestions. I am forced to slog through this note for today and hopefully it will not recur for next week's preparation [:)]
Without logs it may be difficult to diagnose the problem. I know you said you are busy getting ready for tomorrow, but is it possible to re enter the contents in a new note. Not copy and paste, but recreate the note completely. It sounds like something has gotten corrupted in that individual file.
I did the laborious work of incrementally moving content to a new note. Interestingly, it was all successful until I 'docked the tab' into its preferred position in my workspace. The lag returned. There are only 9 windows I am currently using (ESV, Passage Guide, and a handful of commentaries).
This sounds like a case for technical support logging on remotely to your machine - maybe best on Monday...
I agree
