I would love to see the Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) available in Logos. Pretty please???
Daniel, welcome to the forums. Tell us more about the ERV.
By the way, the best place to make a suggestion on the forums is to post it here - https://community.logos.com/forums/28.aspx
This is one translation I have never heard of. During a search, I found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easy-to-Read_Version
As the Wikipedia article says, this is an English meaning-based translation that has been around for awhile and has gone through stages as the English Version for the Deaf, the International Children's Version, and the New Century Version- all those are based on the ERV. The ERV was updated in 2004. WBTC was acquired by Bible League International and now Bible League is using the ERV for Bibles like The Prison Bible.
For English Bibles, its one of the earliest to make decisions that are common for many translations now (like gender inclusivity). And it has counterparts in many languages ranging from Spanish to Urdu. I would love to see this translation available on Logos.
