The screen shot below shows how the layout loaded. NOTE: the black bars around the Logos window is part of the weirdness. 1055.layoutload.20141105-212518.zip
I was in full screen mode at the time.
I can confirm this bug.
Randomly, or do you know how to reproduce it?
Alabama,
I thought this problem has been around for a long time [:(]
You should get the black frame around your Layout. [:)]
A work around is to save the Layout in Fullscreen mode under Logos for Mac. The next time when you open Logos for Mac in Full Screen mode, when you open this Layout ... it is in Full Screen[:)]
However, if you save the Layout in "Full Screen mode" under Logos for Windows, it is not treated as "Full Screen mode" under Logos for Mac. ie. When you Open this layout when Logos for Mac is in Full Screen mode, you get back your black frame. (This problem only happen to people who run both Logos for Mac and Logos for Windows)
Hope it helps ... it is a little convoluted.

Anytime I load a layout while in full screen, the black border appears. Fortunately, I only use full screen while testing bug reports—With a 27" main display and a 23" secondary, I really have little need for that small gain full screen provides—when it works properly [8-|]
