One great feature in L6 is being able to search within Milestones, I am trying to figure out if I can do the same in "headings"......would be great!
Anybody know?
Since L4 or L5, you've been able to search within headings by using the largetext: prefix.
This will find the search text whenever it appears in text that is set in a larger font than the surrounding text. This catches most but not all headings.
Also, remember to still put the search text in quotation marks if it's a phrase, and use the largetext: prefix before the opening quotation mark, without any spaces between:
It might be puzzling why the circled hits appear above when "son of god" doesn't appear anywhere in the heading. Well, if you look at the hits in context, they do appear in larger than normal text:
So this isn't a foolproof way of finding only text in headings. But it's better than nothing in lieu of all headings in all resources being appropriately tagged as such (which they're not).
There is also a "Heading Text" search field, but it doesn't seem to work as you'd expect it to, so I wouldn't recommend using it:
It finds all kinds of things that are definitely not heading text. I'm not sure what's up with this:

Basically what I am wondering if you can search within a heading for words. For instance the search: forensic WITHIN {Heading:Justification} would find all the times where there was a section with the heading "Justification" and the word "forensic" was in that section. This should be easy if we can do it with Milestones.........

Here https://community.logos.com/forums/p/92761/654335.aspx#654335 a really helpful search is explained. Basically what I am wondering if you can search within a heading for words. Ah, I see what you're asking now. Sorry for the red herring reply above.
I don't think the tagging exists in resources as of yet to be able to do what you're asking for.
In the example you give, if the section had a heading that was longer than just one word, but contained the word "Justification", would you want that section to be searched for the word forensic? Or only sections whose heading was precisely "Justification"? I think I can imagine Logos eventually tagging all the headings so that we can search for words that appear within the heading, which would be required in order to do what you're asking for. And then they'd also have to implement the smarts to search for words within the section that was boundaried by a heading that contained the word "Justification" and the next heading. That would be tricky, because the speed of search relies on the index that tells exactly where each word occurs in each resource. They'd have to do a lot of post-search computation to limit the search results to just those ones that appear in sections that have headings with a given word in them. I don't see that happening any time soon, but you could ask for it.
In the meantime, now that we have the Label feature, we can do a lot of manual labeling of interesting sections of works, which would allow us to search within those sections later. (Label Entry, Label Searching.) For example, I might want to go through my entire library and label all the sections that are written by faculty members from my seminary, so that I can later search for what Regent College profs have said about this or that. But frankly, I don't have time, and I don't think many users would have the time for that sort of marking up of their libraries. Tagging of resources to make them useful in narrowing down searches already takes us so much time.
Now that is a great idea... but it's not possible at the moment.
