Ugaritic Ba'al cycle and the Psalms

Can anyone suggest a good commentary that not only mentions, but thoroughly comments on the Ugaritic Ba'al cycle in Psalms?
OR, a commentary on the Cycle?

I know little to nothing about the Ba'al cycle in Psalms, but a quick search of Logos.com returns:

[quote]Mark S. Smith and Wayne T. Pitard have produced the only commentary of its kind on the Ugaritic Baal Cycle, a collection of ancient Ugaritic stories centered around the Canaanite god Baal and his quest to become king. The characters of the Cycle are primarily the gods of Canaanite pantheon. The stories were originally written in Ugaritic, a Northwest Semitic language spoken in the city of Ugarit. The language was written in a cuneiform alphabet.
Anyone interested in Canaanite and biblical studies, ancient literary works, Semitic philology and linguistics, and the religion of Israel or the Ancient Near East will greatly appreciate these two volumes.
Also, note that the "Ancient Literature" section in the Logos 6 Passage Guide contains information on Ancient Near-Eastern Material, including Ugaritic material. If you have Logos 6, you might try to run a few examples on Psalm passages you've isolated to see what other material may be referenced in that portion of the dataset. On a whim, I ran Ps 82.1 by Ancient Literature, and here's what I got for Ancient Near-Eastern Material:

This 'takes liberties' which I prefer, since I can examine the liberties. And affordable. It's not the long-winded type. I went thru it with a fine-tooth comb and then attached everything to the OT passages, similar to Rick's.

Dahood is most famous for eaking out parallels. But in-depth (3 volumes in total)

ya I thought I'd take up a collection to buy Smith's books. Any gift-givers out there? All you have to do is call your favourite sales rep and have him/her gift me, the milkman, Mark Smith's book.
Thanks in advance.
Seriously? I may see what kind of 'deal' I can get on them and maybe add them to my payment plan.

Thanks, pretty pricey, but something to think about.

Dahood's 3-volume set on Psalms in the Anchor Bible has a lot of references to Ugaritic literature.
