Download stuck!

I have never had problems before with downloads. A couple of days ago I had a brief power loss and my ISP decided I had a bad connection and dropped my download speed from 8Mb per sec to 0.15 Mb per sec.

When a download of 1.42Gb appeared on Logos and stayed at 0% I was not too worried until this evening when my download speed returned to normal BUT the download as stuck there unmoving despite restarting Logos and the computer.

I deleted DownloadManage.db and db-journal. The download increased by 7% and stated that 7% had been downloaded. I again deleted the same files and the download returned to 1.42 and 0%.

Does anyone have any thoughts please to kick the download into action?

I have some interesting things to play with as part of that download!

I have just checked my old laptop which has slept through the last 4 days and that has begun to happily download the updates.

When complete use the scan command on the other computer to get the resources from old laptop. See this wiki for resource paths.

If the download issue persists we need some logs(upload before you restart Logos). What is your OS?

Thanks Dave. Lying in bed this morning I suddenly wondered if that would work but it was good to have it confirmed - and it worked well.

I then started worrying why it had not downloaded. Suffice to say it was not connected with the router problems but was an update of a Firefox Add-on - Hola - which enables one to convince a web site that one is based in a different country. In this case it just blocked some downloads.

I then wondered WHY I still had not been getting L6 updates. Setting update to default cured that problem.

I think Logos servers are having issues. We were told in the mac side that 10.10 had a serious wifi problem (some have this problem no doubt). But I experienced no issues with any other program than Verbum 6. My internet is slower with a high latency (satellite or dial up are my only options). I have my iPad and took my laptop with me. Wifi and BT were off at a full strength 3G signal and usb tetheringit allowed me to download 45% before mysteriously stopping. Once I arrived in Vulcan (county seat, going to visit my mom in the nursing home). I finally had an LTE signal and it downloaded without issue. This leads me to suspect there is more than a wifi issue with Logos 6 and Mac. And I have heard of others with slower connection speeds having download troubles too.
