Some of the interactive resources have a minimum width of window required for all elements to appear e.g. on the canon comparison for the left selection bar to appear. However, when I open into a blank layout it limits itself to 1/2 the window ... even when that is not wide enough for the selection bar to appear. Please give priority to the minimum width required when opening in a blank layout and to sufficiently wide panels if there is an existing layout.
