I appreciate the option to open either to the home page or to a snapshot of what I was working with before I closed Logos.

In addition, I'd like the OPTION to open to a named layout.

Thanks for listening!

Grace & Peace,
Bill

    Bill,

I dont use Logos 4 homepage, I have turned it off by default, and my logos opens to where I left it, it opens last snapshot (or appears to)

If I want homepage I click the icon..

seems to work well for me..

    Hi Dominic,

Thanks for your response... That's how mine comes up, too. And I appreciate that! Originally, we couldn't open to a layout, only to the home page. The ability NOT to open to the home page at startup is new. I'm thankful!

But I've gotten sloppy about leaving temporary panels open in my layout, & I DON'T want to have to wait for them at next startup (each one adds time). I've defined the layout I want to start with, so I'd like the OPTION of starting with that... & not having to try to figure out what to close (that I've left open), before I shut down L4.

    Blessings!

    Grace & Peace,
    Bill

Agreed! This has been asked for several times before, and I hope they do it soon. In the meantime, if you suspect you might have left a lot of panels open last time you closed Logos and don't want to wait for them all to load, you can always open up to a blank layout by holding down the Ctrl key while starting up. Of course then you have to go through the log-in screen, so it might not save a whole bunch of time, but it might help a bit.

You're right, & thanks for suggesting a workaround.

Here's hoping I've put the suggestion in the right forum to get on any list for longer term action.

    Blessings!

I too also would like this option to come back in v4.  When I start Logos, I want the lectionary in the left panel and the NRSV in my right.

    Thanks again!
