Logos6 still unusable after a week of downloading

Purchased Logos6 last week it has been downloading and attempting to index for over a week.

This computer does NOT have wifi so that isnt the problem. I am on a macpro desktop with 26gig of ram no clue whats going on but it seems I have wasted my money on this..

If anyone else has any idea what may help besides suggesting the help info at logos ( since like I said I do not have wifi ) It would be greatly appriciated..

I'm sure you haven't wasted money on it.

Not sure what you mean by the 'help info at Logos' but... how large is your library? I assume everything has finished downloading and you just have an indexing problem now...

Welcome to the forums Tom. Sorry that your first post is under such circumstances.

From what you have said, you have finished downloading, now it is trying to index.

It may help to restart the computer and see if that clears it up.

As a matter of fact it still is downloading right now it says

downloading 7.64 GB ------ 54% complete now when I reboot and reload Logos that number normally changes to something else I have rebooted several times I have the baptist starter package so in reality it is one of the smallest packages you can buy I have downloaded all the resources on my Ipad and Phone in pretty much less than 15 minutes I cant seem to figure out why the computer version that I am so excited to start using is having such problems.

It has never once indexed as indexing still says 0% but it does say it is indexing and has been for over a week now as well.

I agree, this is something that isn't a "normal" glitch.

Are you running Yosemite 10.10 on a Mac? If you are, there is a known issue with downloading resources.

Yes I am running yosemite and that is the info I was talking about in the beginning of my post. It seems there are problems in the network settings for wifi but as stated I am not on wifi the MacPro workstation I am on is wired . Although I never saw the long thread about it so I will take a look there next .

You are correct. Now I remember your problems with updating.

Some steps which might help:

Make sure automatic downloads is turned "off" in preferences.
Restart your computer.
When you log back in to your OS X account, wait a couple of minutes to see if the Logos indexer starts. (It should appear at least briefly... so watch for it!). If it starts indexing, let it finish.
Once the indexer has finished, start up logos.
Open up "activity monitor" from OS X "utilities" folder and turn to the "network" tab.
After a minute or two, you will see that there are downloads available. Click on the button to start the download.
Once the download/indexer icon appears and you can see that the download has begun, KILL LOGOS (command Q).
The download will continue.
Return to "activity monitor" and watch the download. If the graph flatlines for a couple of minutes, you can kill the process (click on the icon at top) and restart your computer.

Let us know if that works.
