Feature status: Interlinear Editor?

Right at a year ago, Bob Pritchett had something to say about the feature in this thread:

I thought there were indications that the feature would make its appearance in L6.

Is there any news on the tool? It might let me fix on my own the problem / bug I wrote about here:

There is still no estimate as to when this tool will be publicly available. As always, it's best not to hold your breath.
