CRASH: Search Everything

Attempting to duplicate display problem reported in Bug: Some section headings not appearing in Everything search

6.0a Beta 1 Mac OS 10.10

Selected Basic "Search Everything" and typed Creation in the find box, then clicked the initiate search arrow without selecting anything from the dropdown. Logos disappeared.

Restarted Logos and tried again. No crash whether I select from the dropdown of just click the initiate arrow.

"Too many open files" is a known regression in 6.0a Beta 1 that can cause a wide variety of Mac crashes; it will be fixed in Beta 2.

As a workaround in the meantime, try upgrading to an OS that supports more open files. [:P]

I gather you have your tongue hanging out so that you can more easily bite it [;)]

Would this be too many open files in Logos, or too many open files total for all apps? I had a humongous number of tabs open in Safari (Trying to catch up with the L6 forum)

Just in Logos. The limit is per-process.
