I first starting using Logos with Logos 4. I initially purchased the Scholar's package and then step by step purchased the next higher package over a couple of years. The best I can remember calculating, I spent about $300 more to get a Platinum library by acquiring it this way than if I had purchased the Platinum initially.
Last week, I purchased Baptist starter for Logos 6. Because of dynamic pricing it was only $48. I didn't know how this would affect the pricing for other packages, but this was such a small amount I was willing to test it out and see. To my surprise, the Baptist packages above were each reduced by the amount I just paid for starter. I know this was not the case before as a sales rep explained to me: bigger package, bigger discount. Does anyone know if the way dynamic pricing is calculated has changed? I would love to know that I can buy a medium size package and then upgrade it to a larger package later for the same cost as initially buying the larger package.
