How to create a collection from a "category"

I'm trying to create a collection with all my Church Fathers' resources so that I can include it in a custom passage guide template. And here's my difficulty: when I browse my library I see there's already a "category" (I'm not sure what its proper name is) named "Church Fathers" which already includes all my Church Fathers resources (see attached screenshot, it's marked in red as "1"). This is exactly what I'm looking for! So this make me wonder two questions:
1) Is there any way to include this "category" directly in my custom passage guide?
2) If not, when I create a custom collection, how can I include all the resources from this "category"? What search syntax should I use? I've tried several things from the wiki but I haven't managed to find the proper way to do it.
Thank you!

I don't have Verbum so I can't try this out directly, but it looks like those "pseudo-collections" (I think that's what they're called) which are built in to Verbum, do not show up in the Resources dropdown in the Guide Template editor. That's unfortunate, as I think they should.
However, here's a workaround: you can filter your Library so it shows only your Church Fathers resources (using the dropdown as you have in your screenshot). Then select all the resources showing in the Library and tag them all together with something like "ChurchFathers". Then you can choose mytag:ChurchFathers in the Resources dropdown in the Guide Template editor, as follows:
That way you can include your Church Fathers resources in your custom passage guide. Of course it won't be an automatic collection like the built-in one, because if you buy additional Church Fathers resources, you will need to tag them as well. You might be able to create a dynamic collection called Church Fathers that uses a combination of tagging and a rule. A pretty good rule to start with that picks up most if not all of the Church Fathers resources in my large library is subject:("apostolic fathers","church fathers","fathers of the church","christian literature, early","early church") OR series:fathers OR author:(antioch, alexandria, aquinas, augustine). You could tweak that as needed if it doesn't quite work for you. Manually add or exclude titles, for example.

The three default collections -- church fathers, church documents, and catechism -- each have a section in the default passage guide.
In most instances these default collections show below the all resources option
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thank you both for your answers. I've just noticed that, as MJ. Smith suggested, they're indeed there in the default Passage Guide template. I missed them for 2 reasons: 1) For some reason, for me they're placed in the last 3 positions, at the bottom. 2) They're included in the default Passa Guide Template. But if you add a Collection in a custom Passague Guide those collections are not selectable in the drop down list. Ideally they should, in my opinion, as regular collections do. Otherwise I find it confusing.
I still find it useful to have them as regular collections. I've tested Rosie's suggestion, which works great.
Again, thank you both!
