Living in a third world country with limited 3G cellular internet access at less than desirable per MB rates, it would be really nice if I could buy a book and download it without having to download 400MB to 1G of other updates.
Thanks

I understand the problem. People will be by shortly to explain why it is not feasible now even though that was possible under Libronix. [;)]
However, are you aware of Biblia.com? You can access your books there, including ones you have purchased and not downloaded yet. It's not a total solution, but it may be a feasible workaround if you need quick access to a book but aren't in a position to do a big download at the moment.

Do I have to explain why it is not feasible? Come on -- it's been explained soooooooooooooo many times. The question is not "can it be done" but rather "given the resources necessary to implement the feature, do enough people benefit to make it cost effective?" To which the most probable answer is "I don't have the information to make an informed guess -- well, I guess I should assume that Logos has enough data to make an informed decision so at least not so cost effective as to give it high enough priority to have been done yet."
Does that fit well within your expectation that "people will be by shortly ...."[;)]
Yes, and I use the Logos and Vyrso apps on iPad when I need something in a hurry. But it is nice to have it in Logos so that I can search it like my other resources. Anyway, I didn't mean to cause a stir... [;)]
It probably has been requested and explained away a hundred times, but the more times it's asked for, maybe it will get some consideration. Not all of the world lives in the land of unlimited bandwidth although I'm sure most of Logos' customers do.
I agree that it is important to keep the issue on Faithlife's radar.

I still think the download method needs to be improved
I've seen selective resource capability in other Bible software. A more polished approach would be much appreciated.
I still think the download method needs to be improved state how much (in MB) to download before indexing no download whilst indexing i.e. wait choose between software update and resources
Those are great suggestions Dave.
