Discovered a Secret Way to Dramatically Increase Download Speed on Macbook w/Yosemite

Seriously. I recently posted that I again needed to DL all 15GIG of my Logos books. As expected, since I am running Yosemite on a Macbook Pro, it stalled. After running 12 hours straight it only went from 9% loaded to 10%. That's pretty slow.
But here's what I did. I gave up and canceled the DL. Much to my surprise the program opened and started to index. Then it started to DL. Again, after reaching about 9% it stalled. After waiting about 30 minutes I again canceled the DL. It did the same thing. I repeated the process until at some point it just DLed everything, indexed, and I was in business. My theory is that at some point the "pipeline" gets clogged up. When you do the procedure I outlined it cleans out the pipeline. But what do I know. It worked and I am happy!

Hey Randall, that's part of it - the "pipe get's clogged." However, the servers that Logos rents space on in order to do a big data push that accompanies a major new version also get overwhelmed when there are thousands of users downloading the same files! And you should be happy that you only have 15GB of data to download. Just think if you had 57GB?!!! I have to go through this every time I get a new laptop or desktop, which is about twice per year.

Would "Method 2" of this work for anyone?

It does require that you copy the resource folder.

See the link Erwin posted. There is no need to deal with that for resources you have already downloaded.
