Where does Logos store notes and other user created content? If I buy a new computer or perform a reformat how do I get all of that content I created back?
It stores them in databases in your user folder - and it replicates it to the http://documents.logos.com server. So in case you install Logos on another computer, Logos will automatically sync all that down to your machine.
WOAH! No joke? Everything I make in logos is auto cloud stored? That is incredible! Little things like this excite me.[<:o)]

Yes - so long as Use Internet is not disabled in Program Settings

What about personal books? Where do they get stored?
Per default they reside on your hard disk. You may choose to upload some of them into the Logos cloud (which will enable them to sync down to your other desktop installations of Logos [should you have such] - in the future also to mobile devices)
How would we do that?
Do what? Upload personal books to the cloud? This is a feature of L6.

I think it came with the latest 5.3 beta, but we don't know if any of this functionality will end up in the stable channel.
The Personal Books Tool has (near the "Edit" amd "Open" buttons) a new button "Upload", it's simply a matter of pushing it for those PB resources one wishes to store in the cloud and/or synchronize.
Obviously this requires internet to work, and there's a size limit of a couple of MB - could be 15 or 20. Download of the PB to other installations will happen automatically, just as any updated Logos resource (the metadata were already synced in earlier releases of L5, but now one doesn't copy over and scan or rebuild the PB on the other desktop platforms).
Note that the PB is transferred, not the docx source of it.
