Gestures in iOS

I've seen a limited list of gestures supported by the iOS app.  Is there a gesture which allows me to navigate between chapters in whatever book or document I have open?  E.g., a two finger swipe to the left skips to the next chapter (I know this particular gesture doesn't work... I tried it.).

This would be quite handy for the type of quick skimming you might do with a bible hardcopy when you know what you're looking for, but you're not quite sure where it is.  

Of course, maybe that's what the search feature is for and this dinosaur isn't adapting well...

    No. Your best bet is to use the TOC button.
