Hi,
I did a crossgrade (Feature Crossgrade) the other day from Logos 5 to Logos 6. When I I ran the installer I got an error message. The message was:
Logos Bible Software
Error writing to file:
C:\Users\Terry\AppData\Local\Logos4\System\Libronix.DigitalLibrary.ResourceDrivers.dll.
Verify that you have access to that directory.
Clicking on Retry was unsuccessful and clicking on Cancel rolled back the installation and gave me a message saying installation was unsuccessful.
I then reran the installer, but this time as an administrator, and the crossgrade installed.
Today Service Update 4 was available. Logos 6 downloaded it and asked to restart in order to install it. I proceeded. When the update tried to install I got the same error message regarding the same dll. Retry again failed and so I selected Cancel. The service update rolled back and did not install.
I am using a PC with Windows 7 64-bit installed and I am an administrator on my PC. I did check security on the Logos4\System folder and I as a user, administrator, and system all have full rights to the folder. I also checked the current dll and it is not Read Only.
I then ran Logos as an administrator and the update installed, but Logos did not start. I was then able to open Logos normally and was told that Service Update 4 had been installed.
I have a workaround for this problem, but it appears that something isn't quite right with the Logos installer. Thought others should know and that a real fix could be looked at.

Terry Moore
