Just wondering. Seems odd. Kind of disappointing. Especially considering it only take a few clicks of the mouse to add a new one.
You missed it. The Catholic Products forum appeared today at the same time as (or even possibly before) the Lexham forum, and there's been much rejoicing and posting on it already:
https://community.logos.com/forums/99.aspx
I see a Catholic products forum.
We Baptists own the rest of Logos so no need to create a special forum for us. [:D]
I will amend the title then :P
I would think that it is coming soon, sometimes like int the Catholic case it can take years to get a forum but as long as there are package family with your denomination I would expect to see a product sub forum although as pointed out the entire forum is likely fairly baptist or at least r baptist friendly.
In this case all it took was an email from me to Phil Gons and Bob Pritchett on Saturday about the lack of a Catholic forum, and today it showed up. I'll try my luck again with a Baptist forum.
From all that have been trying to get that done - Thanks.
I'll try my luck again with a Baptist forum.
Done.
I'll try my luck again with a Baptist forum. Done.
And Methodist & Wesleyan and Jewish for good measure.
Thanks Phil
I want a Phil Gons forum.
this could get pretty messy. I will need a personal assistant to help me navigate the forum sections representing the 2000 plus protestant forums, Catholic brands, Eastern Orthodox nationalities . . .
there are hundreds upon hundreds of baptist traditions alone. I think they are going for broad categories though. Baptist covers a bunch of denominations, as does reformed, and Pentecostal & Charismatic. I don't think they are going to get too specific, just general broad strokes.

I also took the liberty to reorder all the forums into a little more logical arrangement:
General Forums
Logos Bible Software Desktop
Mobile Apps
Other Faithlife Brands/Products
Denomination / Tradition-Specific Product Lines
Non-English Product Lines
Websites, Web Apps, and Web Tools
. . . and that was liberty well spent! awesome job, Phil!

i've seen 'em. i lived in the moutains of Virginia. I had NO idea! [:)]

What about merging all of the un-supported logos versions into the same forum? L1 mac, L3, L4, (both mac and pc) all merged together. Not sure what to call it... Discontinued versions, Unsupported versions, or something along those lines. Even Logos 1-4 (discontinued) would be alright with me. EDIT:Also whatever private betas that may exist ought to be listed near the regular forum for the same device no? Just like you've done with Android app, and android app beta.

Thank you, Phil! Now, don't forget to update the forum dropdown in Advanced Search as well.[;)]

I'm not sure I find that the most logical place for the Beta forum. (And, no, don't merge the L4 forums.)
Almanac.Logos.com Biblia.com Biblia.com API Library.Logos.com Logos.com Logos Blog Reftagger
"Website" could be used for both Logos, Verbum, Vyrso and forum related issues. "Logos.com" sounds a lot more narrow. I guess Vyrso issues are most often reported on the Vyrso forum anyway, and that seems to work fairly well, but will the Catholic forum be monitored well enough to do the same? If people report that the site is down or that something serious is broken, it needs to be seen before Monday morning. And isn't it easier for those who keep everything up and running if all such reports are in the same place? Either way, we need somewhere to report forum issues.

I'll have to check into that. Not sure how to do that on my end.

Nor do I. That was an oversight. I moved it right below Logos 6.

We'll keep an eye on whether we need separate website forums for other sites. For now, they can either go in the product forum if there is one or the General forum.

For public betas, that's doable. For private beta, I don't think we can do that. Private forums are in a separate forum group, and the ordering tool doesn't allow you to cross group boundaries.
Makes sense

Awesome, Phil. Could I suggest that the separate groupings be divided out with their own header for each one and whitespace between each grouping, as many other forums do, so that the logic of the organization is explicit and so that people can better find what they're looking for, and for aesthetic reasons too. Here's an example of a popular forum that does it this way, and see how nice it looks?

I completely agree. That's the next step—and long overdue. I plan to have our design time freshen up the site's design and layout. Hopefully we can have an updated design rolled out before too long.

Ask Joel to do it for you (if I don't beat you to it). He finally added the not-so-new-anymore denominational forums two weeks ago, when I complained for the umpteenth time. It would be nice if it happened faster this time. (He promised he'd make it automatic eventually, but with the launch and all, I suspect that's going to take some time.)

You have already caused one confused user to look for the Forum forum: Forum about the Forums. Will forum issues really be seen and dealt with if they go in General? My 4 years of experience here leads me to seriously doubt that. It was hard enough to get a response in the Website forum (it has improved considerably lately, though). With the renaming to Logos.com, I think we definitely need a Forum forum. But I'll bring it up with Joel on the thread I know he reads and we'll see what he says.
