I would like Logos to add Commentary on the Manuscripts and Text of the New Testament by Philip Wesley Comfort. According to Kregel, it will be published in March 2015.
[y][y]How about getting some momentum behind this? It would be an ideal commentary for the Logos platform!

I am somewhat confused. Looking at the description on Amazon, it seems there is a good amount of overlap with the content of an earlier book by the same author, New Testament Text and Translation Commentary:

Is it safe to say that Commentary on the Manuscripts and Text of the New Testament expands on the textual commentary aspect of Comfort's earlier work and removes the sections dealing with English translation? Definitely looks interesting and like something that Logos should acquire ASAP.
Well, I don't currently possess the resource being suggested so I can't comment definitively. But, according to Comfort, the Commentary on the Manuscripts and Text of the New Testament is just as the title would suggest, a commentary on the various manuscripts (MSS) themselves. Thus, for example, according to Comfort, there is extensive discussion on the use of the Nomina Sacra and implications of such in the various NT MSS as they arise.
This is a treasure trove of information that cannot be found anywhere else. This book is the ONLY reason I have been keeping my Accordance Bible Software! Please Logos, move heaven and earth to get this book in our software!
Not sure what you mean, Brian .... 'this'. I have both. It's true the Logos resource (above) is older (2008). But at least for me, this resource is considerably more detailed than his later book (2015; available in Accordance). This AM I was looking at Mat 5:22 ... Comfort in the 2015 book seems to dummy-down the 2008 book considerably.
Additionally, the 2008 has some good appendices (also discussing Metzger).
I've nothing against Logos adding the later book, but I don't think I'd go for both.
I have the older version and am very happy with it. Now that Accordance has started banning long term faithful users and locking threads regarding their unfulfilled two year old promises on version 14, I don’t know that this and a handful of other bits and pieces are worth me keeping an old version of the software for the occasional reference. Time will tell even if Accordance lasts that much longer without new management or a buy out. Sad times for the Bible software market.
Well, as of today, I'm officially done with Accordance. This particular book is not worth my keeping Accordance with their banning of software users, module errors that don't get fixed, and unfulfilled promises of Accordance 14. All of these things have pushed me over the edge. Logos has and continues to exceed expectations in their improvements with their Bible software! I was going to abandoned Logos a few years ago for Accordance, but the past few years have blown me away and I'm excited for the future for Logos! It wouldn't surprise me a bit if we woke up one morning and Accordance has either gone bankrupt or Logos has bought them out! The more I keep learning about all of the things Logos 10 can do, the more I love using it and enjoy it!
I certainly don't begrudge new full-time Logosians!
But I wasn't on the receiving end of 14 (refused it), don't use their forum, but do use Accordance almost daily. When Bibleworks went bellyup, I converted my BW to Accordance inexpensively, so I enjoy the prior Accordance graphics resources, plus the BW syriac additions. Probably, the dance will end, and that's ok.

I have used Accordance in a BibleWorks sort of way since around 2009, with minimal resources focused on language studies. I did this because back in that day, the Logos version for Mac was so bad, but I needed the library of books for studies. So to this day, almost all of my books, commentaries, journals, etc have been in Logos.
That is until about version 9 of Logos, and now particularly version 10. I have developed original language workflows on Logos to the point that I can do pretty much anything that I used to rely on in Accordance. Speed and bugs are no longer an issue with Logos either. Yes, there are some refinements that I miss in Accordance sometimes, but the differences are minor now.
With that said, I hope someone buys Accordance out. It needs new management and the community behind it needs to be completely rebuilt. Now that we do not have BibleWorks anymore, we really needed Accordance to flourish. It has been such a senseless degradation of the software and community. They should be preparing to release version 15 of their software this autumn, but they are still trying to deliver version 14's main offerings. They are almost three years into delivering their cloud app. They don't have a decent syncing solution. Their mobile apps have languished. New module development is almost non-existent. It is a sad state of affairs.
Probably, the dance will end, and that's ok.
I don't think you are wrong. They have lost so much key talent and chased away some of their most dedicated users, it would not surprise me at all to see it go under in a couple of years from now. My main hope is someone buys the intellectual property and relaunches the product... but given the state of the Bible software market, I doubt that will happen.

Today, a poster queried 'thunder' in John's Apocalypse. 'Brontai' as in Brontosaurus! And that reminded me of Logos. Massive, and king of Bible software! But ... not terribly flexible and tremendous sunk costs from 2008.
Don't know of Accordance state of affairs, but buying up their license catalog, and introducing a new platform using AI would be very feasible. Not talking about the current ask-the-computer AI, but dynamically linking the old BW fast-and-dirty with a decent library, worship support, liturgy, and yes, even theology. Old Brontosaurus is locked into a database design, and trying to get AI to help out (and make a buck).
There's opportunity.
