Bug?: Bible Search not working

I was searching for a simple Greek word - μικρῶν - which occurs frequently in the gospels.

However, when I ran the search it returned no results! I can't see what I'm doing wrong.

Here's my screen shot:

I can't even find "Jesus" in the ESV!!! Surprise

Any suggestions? Or is this just another bug?

If it is, could it be fixed yesterday please, because searching is something Logos has been doing since ever I started using it!

It might be that your bible index is broken. I'd suggest you try command "rebuild bible index"

I have had to do this a few times when my computer was shut down or crashed when L6 was running. It takes time, but it is a fix. The issue is to figure out how and why the index gets corrupt so this is no longer required.

Rebuilt Bible Index as suggested. Once index rebuilt … Ran search again.

Thing is I had no crash … or anything like it! Surely this should not be happening!

I suggest you individually reindex your Top Bibles using commands like:

reindex ESV

If that fixes it, what results do you get from non-bible searches?

It was an 'undocumented' command in L5. The L6 Help just has "Reindex", which is not that helpful.

Okay now! Here's what happened:

After my previous post, Logos downloaded Homeric Hymns and Homerica which was released from PrePub today. Logos then restarted and took two hours to reindex (ostensibly those two resources)!

When Indexing completed search capabilities were fully restored - for both Bible and Basic searches! [:D]

Go figure! [*-)]

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm guessing that my indexes were corrupted from an earlier download and reindex yesterday. (I can't be precise when, but then we are getting almost daily resource updates.) The indexing after new resources were added cured the corruption.

I am on 6.0a Beta 1 on Yosemite, maybe it came back.

I'm glad to see it works in L6, but I doubt it ever did in L5 on Mac. In fact, I can't remember ever seeing a single post about it before the L6 launch.

It was added in 5.3 Beta 1.
