Reading Plans Disappearing from Home Screen
Hi all,
I have a number of separate personal Reading Plans which I have added to the Home Screen of my various Andoid Logos apps.
Over the recent past I have noticed that Reading Plans are disappearing from the Home Screen in the event that I have got ahead of my reading schedule, checking off that reading on the actual Reading Plan document. Although not ideal for my purposes, I could put up with this behaviour if the plan re-appeared when a reading becomes due again, but it seems that once the plan is gone from the Home screen it is gone until I manually add it again - very frustrating!
Am I doing something wrong (apart from getting ahead of my reading schedule!!!!) or is this a bug?
Thanks,
Stephen.

Hi Stephen
I don't think you are doing anything wrong.
It is something which I see from time-to-time and have never managed to get to the bottom of how it happens.
Sorry that's not much help but at least you're not alone!

Yes, I experience this frequently too.

This is working as designed. If you are ahead on your reading plan there isn't a reason for the app to remind you of "today's reading" on the Home Page.
As an example, if on Tuesday you've decided to go ahead and finish your Reading Plan readings for Wednesday and Thursday, there isn't a reason for the app to bother you with a reading plan reminder on the Home Page until Friday. The app is simply following the schedule of the reading plan you created.
If you often read ahead on your reading plans, the solution is to adjust how you create those reading plans by adding more readings per day.

I was pretty sure this behavior was changed to always show the next reading on the home page, regardless of whether it was in the future or not. Has this been changed again?

Thanks for the feedback.
If this is intentional behaviour then I'd suggest that a further modification is required to ensure that when a reading next becomes due it reappears on the Home screen. Presently, once a plan drops off it's gone forever (until I manually add it again), as far as I can see.

I don't want to adjust the plan as this is usually ad-hoc behaviour on my part - e.g. I may be reading ahead in view of a particularly busy schedule coming up, or sometimes I find myself in a section of a book and not wanting to lose the thread, so I read into subsequent days' readings. That can't be planned for.
Thanks again,
